The Training Manager - Aman Academy is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of learning at Aman Group. Based at the group’s first dedicated learning centre near Amanpuri in Phuket, Thailand, the role will play a key part in developing, facilitating and continuously enhancing training programmes that build capability across Aman Group’s global portfolio.
Reporting to the Director of Aman Academy, the Training Manager serves as the Academy’s lead learning professional, working closely with corporate leaders, property teams and external partners to deliver impactful learning experiences. The role combines curriculum development, facilitation, programme management and stakeholder engagement, making it ideally suited to an experienced hospitality Learning & Development professional with strong operational credibility. The role will initially be based in Bangkok and relocate to Phuket ahead of the Academy opening in 2027.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and co-facilitate Academy programmes across operational, leadership and service excellence topics
- Develop, enhance and maintain learning content, curriculum pathways and participant materials
- Partner with corporate and operational leaders to deliver impactful learning experiences
- Coordinate onboarding and learning programmes for Aman at Sea colleagues
- Support pre-opening immersion programmes and operational training initiatives
- Manage relationships with facilitators, trainers and certification partners
- Monitor programme effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee learning operations, participant communications and programme reporting
- Support Academy pre-opening activities, including learning systems, programme planning and operational readiness
- Act as an ambassador for the Aman and Janu culture and learning philosophy
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in L&D within luxury hospitality
- Strong facilitation and classroom delivery experience
- Experience designing and implementing learning programmes
- Strong operational understanding of hotel environments
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience working with leadership development, onboarding or operational training programmes preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Thai is considered an advantage
- Willingness to relocate to Phuket and be based full-time at the Academy
