By leading a high-performing legal and compliance function and leveraging data-driven insights, this individual will drive impactful risk mitigation and operational excellence, strengthening AMAROK's market leadership and addressing evolving business requirements. Success involves proactive legal strategies, robust contract governance, optimized outside counsel management, minimized legal exposure, and aligned business growth. This position is based in Columbia, SC.\nYour Impact\nServe as a trusted legal advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic counsel on business operations, corporate initiatives, governance, and enterprise-wide legal matters.\nLead legal oversight of commercial transactions, including the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of customer, vendor, real estate, financing, partnership, and other business agreements.\nDirect the company's legal strategy for litigation, disputes, claims, investigations, and administrative proceedings while overseeing external legal counsel and managing legal expenditures.\nPartner with Human Resources and executive leadership on complex employment matters, workforce decisions, labor and employment compliance, and workplace investigations.\nProvide legal oversight and guidance on corporate governance matters, including Board of Directors activities, corporate records, legal entity structures, and statutory obligations.\nLead enterprise risk management by identifying, evaluating, and mitigating significant legal risks across contractual, operational, financial, and reputational domains.\nProtect company assets including intellectual property, proprietary technology, confidential information, and contractual rights through robust legal strategies.\nEstablish scalable contract governance frameworks, review standards, approval authorities, negotiation guidelines, and risk assessment protocols to enhance operational efficiency.\nDrive continuous improvement of legal operations, processes, and policies to support efficient, consistent, and scalable legal services across departments.\nMonitor significant legislative, regulatory, and legal developments, assessing potential business implications and recommending appropriate organizational responses.\nCollaborate with Compliance and functional leadership to evaluate regulatory requirements and strengthen adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws.\nChampion legal awareness and sound business judgment through leadership consultation, education, and practical guidance across the organization.\nStay at the forefront of the corporate legal and security industry landscape by proactively identifying emerging legal trends, commercial risks, and strategic opportunities.\nWhat You'll Bring\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.\nActive membership in good standing with at least one state bar (eligibility for admission in South Carolina or ability to obtain admission within a reasonable period preferred).\n5+ years of legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or combination thereof, with significant experience in commercial contracts, business law, litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance.\nStrong professional legal network with the ability to easily tap into external counsel, industry experts, and specialized legal resources as needed.\nProven experience supporting executive leadership and advising business stakeholders.\nAbility to excel in a fast-paced corporate environment with strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.\nExpert understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape with a track record of successful risk mitigation and transaction management.\nWhy AMAROK?
