We operate out of designated retail locations - where it’s convenient for our customers - helping facilitate the delivery and return of customer orders.\nAbout the Role \nWe seek an Area Manager to bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life. In this role, you’ll oversee operations across multiple locations, leading shift leaders to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll cultivate a dynamic team culture rooted in customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, and enthusiasm.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Lead shift leads and associates, overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth. \n- Drive daily operations by executing SOPs, identifying improvements, implementing solutions, and providing training. \n- Foster a customer-focused culture aligned with Amazon’s Leadership Principles. \n- Track key metrics, manage performance inputs, and present results in business reviews. \n- Oversee multiple sites, prioritize time effectively, and develop strong store leadership. \n- Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for employees, customers, and packages. \n- Handle escalations and guide associates on issue resolution. \n- Travel 50-75% between locations. \n- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. \n- Lift up to 49 lbs and stand for shifts up to 10 hours. \n- Must be at least 18 years old.\nAmazon does not sponsor for immigration, including for H-1B, TN, and other non-immigrant visas, for this role.\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience in customer-facing leadership roles\n- Experience in problem solving and delivering results\n- Experience working independently with minimal supervision\n- 2+ years leadership experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions\n- 2+ years of people management leading teams of 20 experience\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
