As a Business Analyst, the candidate will play a key role in the development of key business metrics, reports and insights using data visualization, as required.Business Analyst will be expected to be skilled in understanding customer needs, converting them to analysis requirements, having working knowledge of data availability in various sources, building stakeholder confidence through effective communication and derive recommendations. The candidate would also be responsible for the project plan, scaling of data processes and reports, and project timeline and deliverables. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and large datasets. They will have strong attention to detail, SQL skills, experience with statistical analysis tools, and the ability to clearly communicate and present data insights.\nKey Performance Areas:\n1. Solve ambiguous problems with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the crux of the problem and identify root causes.\n2. Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunities\n3.Learn and understand the broad range of Amazon’s data resources and develop knowledge of how, when and which data sources to use.\n4. Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, MS Excel and data analytics tools.\n5. Diving deep to fully understand the ETL pipelines, report architecture and metric definitions, debugging report issues and unblocking workflows. \n6. Present written recommendations and insights to key stakeholders.\n7. Engage with leadership and diversified stakeholder groups to understand their analytical needs and recommend Business intelligence solutions.\n8. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions\n9. Standardize data and report consumption across all customer groups . Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation\n10. Work with data engineering, Machine learning and software development teams to enable the appropriate capture and storage of key data points \nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience\n- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience\n- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience\n- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights\n- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders\n- Experience with Excel\nPreferred qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science, or Master's degree or equivalent\n- 5+ years of relevant work experience in business intelligence, analytics, statistics, data engineering, data science or related field\n- Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL management, data modelling, and working with “Big Data”\n- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools\n- Experience with statistical modelling and analyzing large data sets\n- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail\n- Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization.\n- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.\n- Experience collaborating with business and data engineering teams.\n- Experience using AWS analytical services (e.g., Redshift, EMR)\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
