As a BIE in this role, you will be a key contributor to enhancing the Inbound efficiency and accurate predictions of our supply chain sourcing inbound operations through business intelligence. Our current focus is on improving overall visibility that Amazon has into incoming inbound freight through improving signal quality as well as signal aggregation. This allows us to orchestrate inbound freight through the supply chain, and improve overall inbound lead times. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven insights that optimize inbound signals, scheduling, and overall supply chain performance.\nKey job responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain complex data models and ETL pipelines to support operations and a diverse portfolio of business intelligence products, tools, and services\nCreate and optimize SQL queries for large-scale data analysis, diving deep into data to analyze root causes and implement simple, long-term solutions\nBuild and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that support business decisions and strategic initiatives across Ops teams\nPartner with business stakeholders and product/tech teams to understand requirements, identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, and translate them into technical solutions\nConduct in-depth analyses and create comprehensive reports aligned with S-Team and OLT goals to drive company-wide success\nImplement data quality controls and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and reliability at scale\nDevelop automated reporting solutions and self-service analytics capabilities, staying current with trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics\nCollaborate with data engineering and product/tech teams to optimize data architecture and performance within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment\nMentor team members and share knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization\nAbout the team\nThe Optimal Sourcing Systems (OSS) team at Amazon is at the forefront of revolutionizing global supply chain management.
