The role requires strong analytical rigor, stakeholder management, and program management skills to build and maintain the right selection for customers across categories and cities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSelection Strategy:\nDesign the selection strategy for Amazon Now, defining what to stock, where to stock, and at what depth across darkstores and superstores\nBuild category-level and city-level selection frameworks anchored on customer demand, competitor benchmarking, and store constraints\nDefine selection guardrails covering assortment width, brand mix, and price point coverage\nContinuously sharpen selection logic based on performance data and market shifts\nStakeholder Alignment:\nWork with category managers, instock, operations, and leadership to align on selection strategy and secure buy-in\nRun structured review mechanisms to collect feedback, resolve conflicts, and iterate on selection logic\nPublish clear documentation and decision frameworks for stakeholder visibility\nSelection Curation:\nPartner with sellers, brands, and category managers to curate the right selection for each category\nIdentify and close selection gaps versus competition through crawls, benchmarking, and customer signals\nDrive onboarding of priority brands and ASINs in partnership with seller-facing teams\nProgrammatic Selection Management:\nBuild programmatic processes for addition of NPIs (new product introductions) with clear intake, evaluation, and go-live SLAs\nDesign and operate removal mechanisms for non-performing ASINs based on defined performance thresholds\nAutomate selection health tracking through dashboards covering coverage, productivity, and gap metrics\nSeasonal & Topical Programs:\nManage seasonal and topical selection (festivals, events, weather-led demand) through programmatic playbooks\nDefine pre-season readiness timelines, selection ramp-up plans, and post-season exit criteria\nCoordinate cross-functional execution to ensure timely availability of event-relevant selection\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field\nExperience in category management, selection planning, merchandising, or related areas\nStrong proficiency in data analysis; excellence in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools\nProven track record of building and scaling operational processes\nExperience managing multiple stakeholders and driving alignment\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMBA or advanced degree\nExperience in e-commerce, quick commerce, or retail selection/assortment planning\nProgramming knowledge (Python, R)\nProgram management experience with automated or rule-based systems\nLeadership Competencies:\nDemonstrate ownership in driving results end to end\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellence in stakeholder management and ability to influence without authority\nBias for action with high standards on process quality\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nCustomer-obsessed mindset\nThis role offers an exciting opportunity to define what customers see and buy on Amazon Now, building selection systems that scale across categories and cities.\nKey job responsibilities\nRoles and Responsibilities (summary):\nDesign the selection strategy and frameworks for Amazon Now across categories and cities\nWork with internal stakeholders to align, gather feedback, and continuously sharpen selection logic\nPartner with sellers, brands, and category managers to curate the right selection for customers\nProgrammatically drive NPI additions and removal of non-performing selection through defined processes\nManage seasonal and topical selection through scalable, programmatic playbooks\nAbout the team\n-\nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of with Excel experience\n- 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience\n- Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience\n- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements\n- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
