You will be responsible for innovating, deploying, optimising, and maintaining the automation systems within the data centres. Automation systems consist of building management system (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS). Using Amazon leadership principles, you will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.\nAs a Controls Engineer you will:\nPerform controls root cause analysis.\nSchedule and supervise Quarterly maintenances for BMS and EPMS.\nProvide vendor management.\nDevelop scope of work for site improvement projects.\nSupport Global Controls projects team.\nWork under tight project timelines.\nManage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements and navigate difficult situations.\nReview controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design.\nFinancially manage service invoices.\nProvide technical assistance to internal customers during life cycle of the data center.\nParticipate in a global on-call schedule.\nGrow in technical ability by learning a multitude of different automation platforms.\nControls Engineer may also perform the following:\nEnsure data center controls are deployed in accordance with scope of work (SOW) and specifications.\nDevelop building automation controls drawings and wiring diagrams.\nSize controls valves and damper actuators and select controls devices.\nReview and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.\nDevelop controls bill of material (BOM).\nDevelop and modify controls logic programming.\nDevelop and modify graphical user interface.\nAct in a project sponsor capacity.\nKey job responsibilities\nDeployment of data center controls, on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO)\nDelivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation\nService and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events\nResolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)\nDelivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures\nA day in the life\n* Join the cloud leader: Customers are choosing AWS over other providers because it has a lot more functionality, the largest and most dynamic community of customers and partners, the most proven operational and security expertise, and the business is innovating at a faster clip-especially in new areas such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Serverless Computing, and custom-designed processors and chips.\n* Be at the nexus of action: Your involvement in data center delivery will be mission-critical to the successful deployment of our data centers.
