You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will work with the design team to develop pathway and cabling solutions for the physical layer, and be the 'go to' engineering resource for your region when technical advice on connectivity is needed.\nEach day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally.\nIf this sounds exciting to you - come build the future with us!\nKey job responsibilities\nSupport the design and equipment submittal review of scalable fiber optic & copper plant (physical-layer connectivity) for new Data Centers in your region.\nSupport the review of ICT design, materials, and equipment submittals.\nHelp identify, coordinate, and respond to risks and high-priority connectivity issues.\nSupport new technology and design initiatives that improve processes, infrastructure quality, and reduce cost and installation time.\nInterface with internal data center design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.\nWork on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.\n#auta-sg #auta-asean\nA day in the life\nEach day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data centers. Under the guidance of experienced ICT engineers, you will build your subject matter expertise in fiber optic and copper cabling systems and grow into a trusted engineering resource for your region.\nAbout the team\nThe ICT Colo Engineering Team is a new, fast-growing, and leading-edge engineering team that is rethinking the design for the critical communications pathways that connect the various pieces of hardware inside AWS' data centers. As part of a global team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Engineers, we develop connectivity solutions for the physical layer - providing pathway and cabling designs and specifications for construction and permitting, and working with industry suppliers and manufacturers to develop product requirements and recommend new technologies.\nDiverse Experiences: AWS values diverse experiences.
