You will also be responsible to work with logistics and other teams to maintain daily operations. This role is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most advanced data centers in the world. Amazon data centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face of cloud technology in the region.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Escalation point and technical troubleshooter for all Systems and problems.\n- Deep diving into Linux server issues.\n- Remediation of physical layer outages, both Systems & Network.\n- Remediation or recovery of physical power issues on racks and participate in Data Center power & cooling events.\n- Shift work (4 days on and 4 days off including night shifts on a rotational basis).\n- Install & configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.\n- Triage & resolve trouble tickets for all devices in your region.\n- Physical replacement of server and network device parts.\n- Ensure correct rotation of parts & spares.\n- Enforcing Amazons Security Best Practices.\n- Interact with third party vendors & contractors.\n- Engage with Remote Hands & Eyes in EU Regional Cloudfront POPs.\n- This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment using our lifting equipment.\n- It may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.\n- Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle to travel between sites.\nBasic qualifications\n- 1+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience\n- 1+ years of computer networking experience\nPreferred qualifications\n- High school or equivalent diploma\nAcknowledgement of country:\nIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
