You will manage and conduct initial technical training programs for new hires, ensuring they are properly equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to operate and maintain AWS' sophisticated data center infrastructure.\nKey job responsibilities\nTraining Program Management:\nDesign and deliver engaging instructor-led training sessions covering data center operations, critical infrastructure systems, and standard operating procedures\nManage all logistics of new hire training programs, including scheduling, classroom coordination, and lab space utilization\nMaintain and certify instructor qualifications and perform certification observations\nMonitor trainee progress and address any behavioral or policy issues\nProcess training completions and maintain accurate training records Learning Lab Management:\nServe as Subject Matter Expert for all lab equipment and training facilities\nMaintain and optimize training spaces and equipment\nDevelop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lab equipment operation\nCreate practical training scenarios that simulate real-world data center situations\nSupport the setup and commissioning of new training labs across different regions\nPrepare lab equipment and spaces for upcoming training sessions Program Development:\nCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop and update training materials\nIdentify and implement improvements to training content and delivery methods\nCreate supporting training resources and documentation\nStay current with latest data center technologies and operational practices\nGather and act on feedback from trainees, managers, and instructors\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience as a trainer and ability to manage a classroom of learners\n- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or 2+ years of in industrial electrical or mechanical systems experience\n- Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)\n- Experience with project management\n- Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions\n- 1+ years of data center engineering, or 2+ years of relevant work experience\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
