# Electrical Engineer, HW Sustaining

As a Sustaining Electrical Engineer, you will be the electrical technical owner for multiple Amazon device programs from mass production through end of life. You will lead the investigation and resolution of major hardware quality issues reported by customers, drive related hardware design changes, qualify alternate hardware components, spearhead cost-reduction engineering initiatives, and lead hardware failure analyses that significantly impact manufacturing yield. Each decision weighs electrical risk against cost, schedule and customer impact. This is a senior individual contributor role. You will set the technical bar across a broad portfolio, make data-driven calls when requirements are ambiguous, and influence US-based design teams and manufacturing partners without direct authority. This role requires approximately 30% travel to ODM/CM partner sites across Greater China.
