Event Engineer (AV System/IT), IT Services

Work Conditions:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in AV systems deployment and troubleshooting On the Event Production team, our fellow Amazonians are our customers and we enable them to work hard, have fun, and make history by providing them with leading-edge video conferencing and audio visual (AV) support in meeting rooms at Amazon locations around the globe. We also provide and support basic IT equipment and services they need to contribute in day to day duties As an Executive Business Center (EBC) Event Service Engineer you will be working with the EBC program within AWS to facilitate in-person customer briefings designed to help Amazon customers accelerate their journey to the AWS Cloud. The engineer will be based onsite in EBCs in Singapore, and will be responsible for 'white gloves' support, preparing meeting rooms and “day of” briefing meeting escalations. A successful candidate will bring their experience with audio visual and video conferencing large scope of IT software, hardware, and networking disciplines into a fast-paced corporate environment to standardize, improve productivity, reduce time to resolve, and reduce defects. As part of the Event Productions team in Singapore, you will also have opportunities to autonomously support livestreaming events and video content creation. Key job responsibilities
• Windows/Mac OS support
• User hardware/software/peripheral support
• Creating and maintaining documentation
• Provide break/fix support for Video Conferencing equipment in meeting rooms
• Provide high level customers with assistance on using Video Conferencing technology
• Coordinate equipment for meetings including video conferencing gear, displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, telephones, laptops, media players, document cameras, etc.
• AV room furniture setup/strike and straightening including tables, chairs, lecterns, pipe and drape, easels, and other equipment as needed or directed
• Assist customers with finding and scheduling appropriate meeting rooms
• Train customers to use self-service tools to schedule their own spaces, services, and resources
• Assist high level customers with finding event services including production, livestreaming and remote recording
• Provide courteous phone and chat support to customers
• Create and maintain excellent relationships with our internal customers and co-workers
• Adjust work schedule when needed to support Amazon business needs.
• Track your work via our ticketing system
• Assist event organizers with presentation formatting
• Responsible for resolving or escalating technical issues in EBC rooms
• Event Production: operation of cameras and livestream equipment. Edit video content as required.

Basic qualifications

- Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, or a AV related discipline

- 3+ years of experience in AV systems deployment and troubleshooting, video conferencing interfaces, signal flows, operations, and maintenance

- Practical IT support experience (Windows/Mac OS, networking fundamentals, hardware/software troubleshooting)

- Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve AV/IT issues in a multi-user high availability environment experience

- Strong communication skills with experience supporting senior executives and high-profile stakeholders

- 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience

Preferred qualifications

- Minimally 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience

- 1+ years of Windows Server technologies: AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM experience

- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience

- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience

- 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience
