Our Fulfillment Centers are at the heart of Amazon’s world-class and rapidly growing Operations network: they’re where we manage our fast-moving inventory. They’re also where we developed our industry-leading workflows. Our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out.\nWe’re looking for a detail-oriented leader to join our Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team. We’ll need you to ensure that we continue delivering as reliably as ever to our customers, with all teams maintaining their performance and quality of service.\nWhen working on Inventory Control (IC), you’ll carry out extensive analysis and research, as you come to understand and correct any vacancies in our inventory.\nThe other significant portion of your time will be devoted to Quality Assurance (QA). In this line of responsibility, you’ll proactively audit team efficiency. For example: how closely everyone in your Fulfillment Center is adhering to agreed processes, while highlighting any discrepancies.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Managing the site-based Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team,\n- You’ll maintain Health and Safety standards within your sphere of influence, actively promoting a positive Health and Safety culture on-site,\n- Monitor KPIs regarding accuracy and integrity of Quality and Inventory transactions; then, you’ll provide feedback to Operations where necessary,\n- Review and analyze customer defect data, while developing corresponding action plans to reduce and eliminate causes of any issues,\n- On a daily, weekly and monthly basis: develop and execute action plans for increasing quality, inventory accuracy and service satisfaction,\n- Partner with Management in the communication of Inventory Control and Quality Assurance policies and procedures: you’ll keep an eye on compliance in your Fulfillment Center,\n- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon’s wider policies and procedures, including:\n- Interviewing and training both exempt and non-exempt employees,\n- Assuming accountability for setting and meeting operational goals,\n- Planning and forecasting,\n- Assigning and directing work and employee deliverables,\n- Performance appraisal of team members,\n- Rewarding and disciplining employees where appropriate.\n- To build up an understanding of Fulfillment Center inventory systems and processes, and to provide assistance and expertise for problem-solving wherever you can.\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree or equivalent\n- Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations\n- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\n- Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience managing teams\n- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English\n- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business administration or a related field\n- Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays\n- Willing to travel between cities in EG to accommodate quick commerce site visits (Travel between cities is expansible in terms of fuel/transportation & hotel accommodation)\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment\n- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques\n- A degree in a science or logistics-based discipline, with a strong bias towards analytics and data would be advantageous\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
