This is an unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast paced data centers in the world. The Infrastructure Delivery team is responsible for the scaling and physical deployment of new data center infrastructure. As part of that team, you will be primarily tasked with installing cabling and new racks within the data centers. You must be able to perform repetitive tasks and adhere to standard processes and best practices. You will be working in a team environment and must be able to communicate and promote cross-team functionality.\nKey job responsibilities\nAdhere to security and safety best practices in the data center. \nInstallation and testing of copper and Fiber Optic cabling. \nBasic build and troubleshooting of network devices. \nManaging inventory of related materials. \nAdhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures. Physical Requirements \nThis position has a physical component and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations. \nManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required in accordance with local safety regulations.\nRegularly work at heights and from ladders. \nWork in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions. Location Requirements: Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid in Italy driving license is required for this role. Work Schedule: This is a 100% onsite in-person position due to the hands-on nature of managing mission-critical infrastructure. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve in the cloud.\nBasic qualifications\n- 1+ years of structured cabling (Copper/Fiber) Installation experience\n- Good understanding of industry cable test procedures and equipment for a variety of different cabling systems (Copper/Fiber test equipment, OTDR, Network analyzer, VFL etc.)\n- Ability to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 16Kg with two-person support or equipment\n- Valid in Italy driving license\nPreferred qualifications\n- Several years data center structured cabling infrastructure\n- General comprehension of the various components and sub-components of data center infrastructure\nAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
