We are currently in R&D, but moving towards a production environment.\nThe successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working on large-scale programs with a diverse set of talented individuals, as well as with partner organizations (including government agencies).\nThis position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.\nThis position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.\nKey job responsibilities\nAssemble mechanical/electrical of satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration of final vehicle assembly fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products\nBuild solar modules and solar arrays\nEnsure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated\nSupports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems\nIdentify equipment requirements process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory\nYou will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables\nExperience working with 5S, FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements\nReceive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc) Documentation & Quality\nMaintain accurate work logs, build records, and as-built documentation per quality management standards\nPerform basic in-process inspections (visual, dimensional, electrical) and record results\nRed-line work instructions to capture deviations and flag discrepancies to leads or engineers\nSupport non-conformance documentation and assist with root cause investigations Safety & Compliance\nFollow all OSHA, EHS, and facility safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO)\nProperly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials (solvents, adhesives, etc.)\nParticipate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and promptly report incidents or near-misses\nMaintain clean room discipline and comply with FOD/ESD prevention requirements Integration & Testing Support\nAssist with thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, and EMI/EMC test campaigns under direction of senior technicians or engineers\nRoute, terminate, and continuity-check wiring harnesses and cable assemblies\nPerform torque applications, staking, and bonding per engineering drawings and specs\nSupport antenna integration, RF connector mating, and mechanical alignment tasks Tooling, Fixtures & Measurement\nSet up, operate, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and ground support equipment (GSE)\nPerform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and optical tools\nVerify tool calibration status before use and flag out-of-cal equipment\nBasic qualifications\n- High school diploma or equivalent\n- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience\n- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience\n- 4+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience\n- Knowledge of tools and measurement devices (oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, or equivalent)\n- 4+ years of commissioning experience\n- o NASA Std 8739.1 Conformal Coating, Encapsulation, Staking, Potting\n- o IPC J-STD-001 Certification (Space Addendum)\n- o IPC-A-610 Certification\n- o IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification (Space Addendum)\nPreferred qualifications\n- 1+ years of team leadership experience, or Bachelor's degree\n- • Experience bringing teams and processes from development to production\n- • Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation and/or drawings\n- • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and clean room requirements\n- • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment\nThe base salary range for this position is listed below.
