Your focus will be to lead and mentor a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability.\nLearn more about Amazon RME in Australia\nKey job responsibilities\nLead, support and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe, standard and efficient manner.\nWork with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.\nSupport the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.\nImplement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.\nEnsure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.\nManage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the Sr. Maintenance and Engineering Manager. A day in the life You’ll be based at one of our operational sites, which allows you to give practical guidance to your team and get a clear vision of what’s happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also have a chance to create an operational plan to make the site more productive and efficient. That will involve setting up new projects that improve everything from operational processes to equipment maintenance. After safety, the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development, including organising additional training.\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience building and managing a high-performing team of direct reports\n- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization\n- Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment that handles a variety of complex business processes\n- A degree in a technical discipline\nPreferred qualifications\n- Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
