This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Leo hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).\nKey job responsibilities\nShift: Wednesday-Sat 4:00PM - 2:30AM\n- Write work instructions, troubleshoot non-conformances and help execute critical satellite assembly build and test campaigns, including hands-on work.\n- Definition & implementation of Work Order and standard operating procedures\n- Specify, design and help procure various assembly equipment, tools and systems to meet program development requirements takt time & cost optimization planning\n- Review designs for manufacturability and sign off for design release\n- Must be willing to work off shifts and weekends as required.\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent engineering science\n- 1+ years of integration, testing and automation experience\n- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience with product level validation testing (Thermal, EMC/EMI, Shock, Cycle Testing, etc.)\n- Experience in working with external and internal partners throughout development and production\n- 2+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, or experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools\n- Related experience from internships or college organizations- Technical writing experience, including work instructions, standard operating procedures and/or test plans.\n- Experienced with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods at component level, subsystem, and system level.\n- Experienced with handling and tracking systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.\n- Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis and problem solving skills.\n- Excellent communication and leadership skills.\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
