Always keeping in mind the rapid evolution of manufacturing technologies and methodologies in the smart home industry, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term strategic goals, You'll be expected to create a high-performing, engaged, and resilient MTM team capable of driving manufacturing excellence and innovation at Ring.\nKey job responsibilities\nDesign for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Optimization\nEngage in DFx from concept to Production Validation Testing (PVT),\nEnforce DFM, DFA (Assembly), and DFS (Service) principles to product design\nAddress manufacturing challenges and propose design improvements with MDE and MTE teams\nDevelop cost-effective and workable production solutions to accelerate product maturity and improve manufacturability\nNew Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing Readiness\nDevelop end-to-end manufacturing processes from prototype to mass production, identify and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks\nExecuting xVT builds according to program schedules, ensure technical readiness, monitor major issue closure driving mitigation solutions of factory-related technical challenges during NPI phase.\nManage engineering changes during NPI builds, define manufacturing process validation requirements to ensure process reliability and consistency\nOptimize manufacturing yields and efficiency(FPY, Cycle time, UPH) to meet target throughout the product development lifecycle\nStrategic Influence and Cross-functional Collaboration\nServe as the main interface between manufacturing partners, hardware and software engineering teams, and also operation & supply chain cross functional teams, collaborate with teams to implement and optimize manufacturing processes.\nDevelop strategical plan for MTM team, expand the visibility, credibility and influence to cross functional teams, could present and talk with leadership\nTechnology Innovation and Development \nInvestigate and introduce new manufacturing technologies and methodologies on line solution, equipment requirement plans for new product manufacturing and testing to enhance product quality and efficiency\nWork strategically to improve SMT/FATP/Packing processes across product categories\nIdentify, Design and Standardize production line solution strategies, production procedures to improve efficiency among contractors/suppliers.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience(hardware, software, package)\n- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience\n- 5+ years experience as people manager or team leader\n- Good written and oral communication skills, fluent English\n- Bachelor degree or above in engineering\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n- 10+ manufacturing process design and production process develop experience, knowledge on lean manufacturing, six sigma etc.\n- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules\n- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership\n- Exceptional strategic vision, business acumen, stakeholder management skills and cross-functional leadership experience in managing global operations for technology/consumer product companies.\n-Familiarity with smart home and IoT technologies and markets.\n-Ability and willingness to work independently and travel frequently\nBasic qualifications\n- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience\n- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience\n- Experience in oral and written communication in English\n- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent\n- 5+ years experience as people manager or team leader\nPreferred qualifications\n- 10+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience\n- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules\n- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership\n- - Exceptional strategic vision, business acumen, stakeholder management skills and cross-functional leadership experience in managing global operations for technology/consumer product companies.\n- -Familiarity with smart home and IoT technologies and markets.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
