This individual will deliver implementation projects and will partner with Process Engineering teams, Operations leaders, Facilities and Engineering teams to effectively deploy and operate advanced technology across Amazon's last mile network.\nThis role will be based in Mexico City and involves frequent domestic travel as well as occasional international travel. You will also partner with WW counterparts to benchmark and support parallel development projects.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Design and own automation deployments for MX last mile operations\n- Author business cases to introduce automation to the Delivery Stations network in MX and improve performance\n- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical documentation such as flow diagrams, equipment layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets for new automation systems to understand integration impacts on existing processes and building design\n- Support lessons learnt program for new automation system to understand improvements needed for next generation design iterations\n- Work with design and controls teams to detail out integration plans for MHE automation\n- Support execution of new MHE automation installations in partnership with field teams, defining the scalable turnkey deployment approach that field teams will utilize in the production environment\n- Support development and implementation of Service and Maintenance concepts for AMZL Field teams\nAbout the team\nInclusive team culture \nAt Amazon we embrace our differences and we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional.\nBasic qualifications\n- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience\n- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions\n- Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE), or experience in similar environments\n- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite\n- Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics engineering, systems engineering or related field\n- Bachelor's degree or equivalent\n- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience working with and managing third party vendors\n- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing\n- Master's degree in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics engineering, systems engineering or related field\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
