You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.\nThe position's responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations and day to day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.\nYou will leverage your experience supporting large scale, enterprise class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting. As a Network Deploy Technician, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. Key job responsibilities\nManaging work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects\nCollaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles\nTroubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords\nSpecifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment\nParticipating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware Traveling within and outside of regional work area and international is required 60% of the time. This position also is 100% onsite. A day in the life Our team has three primary tasks: 1. Providing the first level networking devices to serve our customer racks entails various tasks (the name of the game is efficiency): You will track network rack intake and delivery; work with various onsite teams to request for rack space, power, and cooling for network racks. And then partner with network engineers to ensure all configurations are ready. You'll also be working on link and device troubleshooting within a certain Service-Level Agreement 2. There is also console builds (and room builds) that are really exciting. You'll be exposed to more teams whose goal is to provide more space and capacity for customer racks. 3. Work with ID-Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices.\nBasic qualifications\n- 2+ years of computer networking experience\n- 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience\n- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair\n- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field\n- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pound\n- Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines\nPreferred qualifications\n- Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines\n- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure\n- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies\n- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)\n- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system\n- industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+), or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering)\n- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools), or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience with automation and any version control tools\n- Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
