As an Operations Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role within one of our fulfilment centres. You’ll lead a large operational area through a team of managers and frontline leaders, taking ownership of safety, people, quality, productivity and customer experience.
This is a highly visible leadership position where you’ll combine strong people leadership with data-driven decision making. You’ll build and execute operational plans, identify opportunities to improve performance and develop your leadership team to deliver sustainable results.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders and partner teams including Engineering, HR, Finance, Learning, Safety and Supply Chain to solve complex operational challenges and continuously improve the way we work.
The environment is fast-paced and constantly evolving. You’ll need to be comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, responding to changing priorities and balancing short-term operational requirements with longer-term improvements.

Lead a large operational area through a team of managers and frontline leaders, creating clear expectations, strong accountability and an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Create, oversee and continuously improve a culture of safety and wellbeing, ensuring teams operate to the highest standards while proactively identifying and reducing operational risk.
Own operational performance across safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer experience, using data to identify trends, understand root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
Develop and execute shift and operational plans, ensuring the right resources, priorities and leadership mechanisms are in place to consistently deliver business objectives.
Lead, coach and develop managers, building leadership capability, strengthening succession pipelines and supporting individuals to reach their potential.
Analyse complex operational problems and translate data into clear priorities and actions, ensuring improvements deliver measurable results.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, remove waste, increase productivity and improve the quality of service delivered to customers.
Manage operational change effectively, ensuring new processes, technologies and standards are successfully implemented and embedded within your area.
Work collaboratively with other Operations Managers and senior leaders to standardise best practices, share learnings and improve performance across shifts and departments.
Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, HR, Finance, Learning, Safety and Supply Chain to resolve barriers and deliver site-wide priorities.
Maintain strong operational control during periods of high volume, changing demand or unexpected disruption, making timely decisions to protect customers and the business.
Contribute to site strategy and longer-term planning by identifying opportunities to improve capacity, efficiency, associate experience and operational capability.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to identify waste, analyse root causes and deliver sustainable process improvements. Use data and structured problem-solving techniques to lead improvement initiatives from problem identification through to implementation, measuring results and embedding successful changes into standard work.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience in employee and performance management
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in engineering teams management in a fast-paced operations environment
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays in a 24/7/365 environment
