This role is all about driving operational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow. \nKey job responsibilities\nManage and develop a team of Area Managers\nOwn your site, deal with issues and positively impact site performance \nAnalyse site performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence \nWork closely with other support teams, including PxT (HR), Finance, Delivery Service Partners (DSP), IT, Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) and Engineering units \nDesign and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance \nA day in the life\nYou’ll lead shifts at one of our operational sites. You’ll also be the key link between a number of teams, including finance, safety and operations integration teams. That means you’ll be close to the day-to-day operations at your site but also contribute to new ways to innovate at your site. \nA typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics for sites, and looking ahead to prepare for different levels of demand. Every day will also involve mentoring and coaching your team. You’ll be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best managers they can be.\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal\n- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization\n- Experience using data to influence business decisions\n- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree\n- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma\nAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
