You will need to travel to suppliers and contract manufacturer sites world-wide to support technology and product development activities (20% travel)\nKey job responsibilities\nResponsible for developing optical materials and process to support prototyping, product development and mass production.\nWork with cross-functional team to convert product KPI to material property requirements and develop/source material, process, tools and analytic methodologies to support product development.\nKeep on overview of the state of the art in glass and optical grade plastic, optical thin film, adhesive/binder, surface treatment technologies nanostructure patterning such as photo lithography, dry etching and nano-imprinting.\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent\n- 5+ Year's experience in optical materials and process engineering\nPreferred qualifications\n- Master's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or PhD\n- 7+ years of experience in optical materials and process engineering\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
