This role leads physical security operations across multiple sites, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager. \nKey aspects of the role include:\nManaging day-to-day physical security operations\nMaintaining site security posture\nOverseeing security guard force vendors\nEnsuring compliance with AWS security standards We maintain the foundation of AWS cloud services, ensuring continuous availability of computing resources for our customers worldwide. Key job responsibilities Responds to Security situations as they arise, based on the direction of the Cluster or Regional Security Manager\nSupports the on-site contractor Security team as the primary security contact during the shift and provides guidance based upon existing Physical Security Standards and local SOP’s.\nReports all unusual events to the Cluster Manager in a timely manner.\nProvides guidance and direction to the contract security officers to maximize the effectiveness of the Security department.\nOversees access control systems and badge deliveries.\nInvestigates security events via the alarm and CCTV monitoring system.\nCooperates and coordinates with the Security Operation Center during security incidents or any other security related matter.\nCreates and constantly improves procedures, processes and workflows using data and metrics to identify issues and areas of improvements.\nDevelops specific knowledge of the various operational process paths within the Data Center to identify security vulnerabilities.\nPerform various security inspections, audits and investigations as required and as instructed. \nTravel to other geographic regions as required About the team The applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Telecommunication Sector. The position is classified at level 6 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience.\nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of experience within similar role in the public or private security industry.\n- 3+ of continuous use of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word.\n- 3+ of experience using data and metrics to improve processes and/or customer satisfaction.\n- Ability to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business.\n- Must have the ability to be on-call to support out of business hours emergencies remotely and on-site.\n- English verbal and written communication skills with attention to details.\n- Must be prepared and have the ability to work and travel to Data Centers in the Cluster and abroad.\n- Must have current driving license and be eligible to drive in Italy.\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems\n- Management experience of vendors\n- Has used investigation techniques to deep dive on events\n- Italian verbal and written communication skills\n- Strong communication skills\n- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to company tools for data gathering and analysis\n- Metrics oriented\n- Ability to handle pressure and act swiftly and calmly in time of crisis\n- Ability to handle confidential information with care\n- Ability to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business.\nAmazon is an equal opportunities employer. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis.
