Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.\nAs a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, you will develop, drive and optimize mechanisms for quality assurance and control activities for a large supply chain of electronics, mechanical parts and semiconductors. \nThe ideal candidate is a systems thinker with excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, effective written and verbal communication, and most importantly, a passion for developing suppliers to produce high-quality, mission-critical hardware in volume production.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Own the quality elements in Leo's Product Development Process\n- Optimize supplier quality mechanisms for designing in quality into the supply chain\n- Lead the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools in the PDP\n- Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, supply chain, and manufacturing to optimize Design for Excellence \n- Move quality checks upstream and eliminate the need to inspect quality into the product by achieving high process capability\n- Foster a culture of quality, improvement and learning with Leo\nA day in the life\nThis role is an individual contributor and is the lead for Leo PDP within Leo's supply chain operations.
