You will orchestrate the transition from legacy systems to a modern data lakehouse architecture, ensuring Finance customers have reliable, performant access to the insights they need. This means navigating interdependent tools and platforms, driving alignment across competing priorities, making high-judgment calls with incomplete information, and adapting roadmaps as new internal products evolve.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Own the lifecycle of large, complex multi-team technology programs from concept through delivery, defining the long-term roadmap for data solutions, analytics, and platform modernization across Worldwide Operations Finance\n- Drive consensus among Tech and Finance partners on strategic roadmaps and prioritization; influence the direction of multiple engineering teams and advise senior leaders on program strategy and trade-offs\n- Lead the transition from legacy financial reporting systems to a modern data lakehouse architecture with AI-powered automated workflows, managing schedules, risks, and success metrics across interdependent teams\n- Champion the adoption of Generative AI tools and automation across program management workflows, establishing best practices for AI-assisted planning, execution, and reporting\n- Mentor Technical Program Managers and cross-functional team members, sharing program management best practices and raising the quality of execution across the organization\nA day in the life\nYou start your morning reviewing program metrics and dashboards to identify emerging risks. Mid-morning, you facilitate a cross-team alignment meeting where engineering leads debate technical trade-offs - your role is to guide the discussion toward a clear decision. After lunch, you draft a program update narrative for senior leadership, distilling technical progress into concrete business outcomes. Later, you connect with a partner team to negotiate a dependency timeline and unblock a critical deliverable.\nAbout the team\nThe Stores Finance Tech Team builds and operates the data infrastructure and analytics platforms that power financial planning and reporting for Amazon's Global Customer Fulfillment network - a finance organization supporting hundreds of fulfillment and logistics sites worldwide. Our team of engineers, data scientists, and program managers partners closely with Operations Finance leaders to deliver reliable, timely insights that inform capital allocation, cost optimization, and operational decisions at scale.\nWe are in the middle of a multi-year platform modernization, migrating from legacy reporting systems to a lakehouse architecture augmented by Generative AI capabilities.
