You will partner daily with computer vision and ML scientists, engineers, RME teams, site operations, and external vendors to scope use cases, execute pilots, define and analyze KPIs, and drive data-informed decisions that scale reliably across a decentralized network.\nKey job responsibilities\nIdentify and evaluate new computer vision automation use cases for North America (e.g., drones, robotics, autonomous vehicles, inspection systems); develop feasibility assessments and business cases for each opportunity.\nExecute pilots end-to-end: define success metrics, coordinate cross-functional partners across science, engineering, RME, operations, and vendors, track milestones, and report outcomes with clear recommendations.\nConduct deep-dive analysis on model and detection performance (e.g., precision, recall, F1 score, detection accuracy); analyze flight telemetry, reliability logs, and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nAssess data and annotation pipeline quality feeding perception models; partner with science teams to evaluate labeling accuracy, dataset coverage, and annotation throughput.\nEvaluate edge inference constraints including latency, on-device compute capacity, and connectivity limitations; factor deployment realities into use-case scoping and architecture decisions.\nSupport post-deployment model monitoring activities including tracking model drift indicators, retraining triggers, and A/B testing frameworks to ensure sustained system performance.\nBuild KPI dashboards and visualizations; translate telemetry and analytics into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nCoordinate with regulatory and safety stakeholders to ensure automation deployments comply with applicable standards (e.g., FAA regulations for UAV systems, robotics safety standards).\nTranslate between technical teams and operational stakeholders; document standards, RACIs, and handoff procedures so use cases remain sustainable post-launch.\nTrack risks, dependencies, and timelines across concurrent workstreams in a decentralized network environment. LOCATION AND TRAVEL About the team Sustaining Technology Engineering (STE), within GES Sustainability & Automation, keeps Amazon’s deployed automation and robotics technologies reliable, standardized, and continuously improving across the network. Our portfolio spans drones, mobile robots, autonomous vehicles, and camera/sensor-based inspection systems - all powered by computer vision and machine learning. We partner with science, engineering, Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME), site operations, and vendor teams to take automation use cases from concept through sustained, scaled operation.\nBasic qualifications\n- 2+ years of program or project management experience\n- 3+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System program experience\n- 3+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution industries experience\n- 3+ years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience\n- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) full time experience\n- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays\nPreferred qualifications\n- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology\n- Experience in MS Access and SQL\n- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document\n- Experience using Microsoft Projects software\n- Experience with material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance\n- Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams\nThe base salary range for this position is listed below.
