Specifically, you'll:\n- Architect business continuity plans across sites and vendors, including Single Point of Failure (SPOF) analysis and vendor exit strategies\n- Lead incident response coordination - detection, triage, routing, escalation, and recovery during Sev2+ disruptions affecting thousands of employees globally\n- Run tabletop exercises and readiness drills with operational POCs across multiple international sites\n- Build governance frameworks for compliance, vendor risk, and operational resilience and expand their coverage across the organization\n- Partner cross-functionally with risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams to close gaps before they become incidents\n- Drive site capability analysis to identify vulnerabilities and design mitigation strategies that work at scale\nWhat Makes This Role Different\n- Real impact, not theoretical frameworks. If you want a role where your work is visible, your decisions matter, and you're not buried three layers deep in an org chart, this is it.\nYou'll Thrive Here If You\n- Get energized by ambiguity and building structure where none exists\n- Think in systems, connecting compliance, vendor risk, incident response, and operational continuity into a single resilience model\n- Communicate crisply across levels, from analysts on the ground to senior leadership\n- Have a bias for action, you'd rather run a 70% solution now and iterate than wait for perfection\n- Bring experience in business continuity, incident management, risk management, or operational resilience (or a credible combination)\nKey job responsibilities\nSpearhead, Design and execute Business Continuity strategy for manual, 3P vendors and API vendors, that set new standards for operational resilience focusing on effective response and recovery capabilities aligned with key metrics (RTO, RPO) \nTransform our global operational framework by eliminating single points of failure through strategic planning and creative solution design\nLead cross-functional initiatives with Workforce Management, Global Process Strategy, Operations, and Leadership to build future-proof business models\nOrchestrate regular tabletop training and exercises to prepare R&C for disruptions of varying severity \nLeverage insights from drills, exercises, and real events to continuously improve our continuity programs \nConduct thorough Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and formulate exit strategies \nManage and update all SPIV business continuity documentation, ensuring stakeholder alignment \nMaintain clear communication on plan changes and dependencies with partners\nBuild and evolve our continuity programs using real-world insights and emerging best practices\nDevelop dynamic documentation systems that enable rapid response and adaptation to changing conditions\nFoster a culture of preparedness and innovation across global teams\nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of program or project management experience\n- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience\n- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience\n- Bachelor's degree\n- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL\n- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements\n- 5+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience\n- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams\n- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges\n- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines\n- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)\nPreferred qualifications\n- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience\n- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience\n- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization\n- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules\n- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent\n- 3+ years of operational experience\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
