As part of an agile AI enabled development team you will support AWS customers to develop prototypes specific to their articulated strategic vision for new products and services.\nOur Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) capability is designed to help our customers leverage this new way of working to deliver tangible technology and business outcomes using lean principles, iterative AI/GenAI powered agile development, agentic approaches through multi-functional teams and a lightweight rapid development cycle.\nThe prototyping team is a hands-on team of cross functional developers supporting AWS customers to build rapid MVP experiments adapted to their specific, innovation focused, use cases. The role of a Prototyping Engineer is to apply these methods to assemble and deliver technology and business outcomes for the world’s leading clients.The job will cover Japan, with some traveling to customer sites.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Architect, develop, test and implement loosely coupled distributed software solutions.\n- Research and employ up-to-date technological developments in customer engagements.\n- Drive the AWS platform by aligning customer requirements with AWS service teams’ roadmaps.\n- This role will focus on customers using AWS for research, development, and innovation.\n- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white-papers, tutorials, blogs, etc.\n- Position requires travel, generally, between 0 - 25%.\nAbout the team\nAWS values diverse experiences.
