Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team!\nPosition Overview: The Regional Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for leading and coordinating all drone maintenance operations and activities within a designated region. This is a leadership role that operates in an environment where the problem, opportunity and strategy may not be defined. They use expertise and judgement to coordinate between the appropriate stakeholders, optimizing maintenance processes, ensuring adherence of regulatory, safety, and operational standards, while managing operations across multiple sites.\nDepartment Of Transportation Requirements:\nPosition will be contingent upon successful completion of a DOT drug and alcohol screening. This position is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing. Federal law requires Amazon to determine an applicant's history of DOT drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position, if applicable\nKey job responsibilities\nLeads, mentors, and supports drone repair technicians across multiple locations within the designated regions, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and quality\nManage all aspects of the regional drone maintenance, including planning and execution, inspections, service bulletin incorporation, and component replacements in accordance with Prime Air and regulatory requirements\nResponsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at assigned commercial operation locations, ensuring all drones conform to design configuration and are in safe operating condition\nEnsure accurate records of all maintenance activities, fleet status, and parts inventory\nManage maintenance facility operations including drones, support equipment, tools, and safety protocols\nWork cross-functionally with technical and support teams to drive operational efficiency and innovation \nAnalyze operational data to identify system trends and recommend process improvements\nOwn regional fleet performance metrics and key performance indicators\nEnsure adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes \nResponsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and performance monitoring of drone repair technicians\nThis candidate is expected to work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to deliver on assigned responsibilities\nAbility to travel extensively to support the operation\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience developing and managing a high-performing team\n- Experience analyzing data to make business decisions\n- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization\n- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance, aviation operations, quality, supply chain or logistics management, program management, or related professional or military experience\n- Knowledge of FAA regulations 14 CFR Part 135/121, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)\nPreferred qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree or above in Aeronautics, Operations, Business, Project Management, or Engineering - or equivalent Amazon work experience\n- Experience in the drone/aviation industry or a strong interest in emerging technologies preferred\n- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License or UAS maintenance technician background\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
