Come work at Amazon!\nAs a RF Engineer, you will be responsible for integration and test activities for various payload related features for the Leo satellite , ground gateway and the customer terminals.\nYou will work closely with colleagues throughout Leo’s wide-ranging, inter-disciplinary team to support both lab payload testing and troubleshooting and reproducing on-orbit issues in the lab. This will include test definition, execution, optimization and reporting of test data. You must be flexible, responsive, and able to succeed within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.\nExport Control Requirement:\nDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\nBasic qualifications\n- 5+ years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience\n- Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering\n- Experience building, commissioning, operating, and maintaining complex laboratory testbeds or system integration environments.\n- Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, networking, and RF issues in integrated test environments.\n- Experience developing scripts or automation using Python or similar programming languages.\nPreferred qualifications\n- Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields\n- Experience deploying and operating SATCOM test venues, satellite ground systems, and customer terminal integration environments.\n- Experience maintaining high availability of laboratory infrastructure, including proactive monitoring, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.\n- Experience with RF laboratory equipment, including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and vector signal generators.\n- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, and Linux networking troubleshooting.\n- Experience with test automation, equipment control, infrastructure monitoring, and operational tooling using Python.\n- Experience with AWS services, cloud networking, and remotely managed test infrastructure.\n- Experience troubleshooting end-to-end performance issues involving throughput, packet loss, latency, and connectivity across RF and IP networks.\n- Experience collaborating with hardware, software, systems engineering teams, and equipment vendors to resolve integration and operational issues.\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nLos Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
