The problems we solve will challenge the best in terms of scale (100s of billion evaluations) and latency (think milliseconds) while operating at the lowest cost \nKey job responsibilities\nAs a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will design, enhance and maintain mission critical systems leveraging best of breed technologies with AI first mindset. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can identify high impact opportunities and create durable solutions that scale globally. This role requires strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for mentoring others.\n1. Work on systems protecting millions of customers daily\n2. Design, enhance and maintain various microservices that are part of risk evaluation systems\n5. Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems\nBasic qualifications\n- 7+ years of engineering experience\n- 3+ years of engineering team management experience\n- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience\n- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations\n- Experience partnering with product or program management teams\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy\n- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
