You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. This role will own critical forecasting processes for server capital expenditures and drive strategic financial insights through data analysis. You should be comfortable with working with ambiguity, diving deep into detail, and be able to communicate the story behind the numbers effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Create effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides investment guidance based on data analysis.\n- Present financial summaries and business insights to Senior Management (Business and Finance).\n- Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making.\n- Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses.\n- Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improves, scales, or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations.\n- Participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.\nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience\n- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience\n- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence\n- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience\n- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience\nPreferred qualifications\n- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience\n- MBA, or CPA\n- Knowledge of Tableau\n- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
