You will build cross-functional support within Prime Video for high-quality, rigorous measurement, assess business problems, and support iterative scientific solutions that balance short-term delivery with long-term science roadmaps.\nKey job responsibilities\nKey job responsibilities\n- Build and manage a team of Data Scientists, BI Engineers and Data Engineers\n- Define and drive the multi-year vision for business intelligence, experimentation and measurability in Prime Video\n- Partner with product stakeholders and science peers to identify strategic data-driven opportunities to improve the customer experience\n- Communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to technical and non-technical business leaders across Prime Video\n- Educate senior leaders about and advocate for high-quality measurement as an input to data-driven decisions\n- Mentor junior scientists, BI Engineers and review technical artifacts to ensure quality\n- Stay up-to-date on the latest data science, measurability, AI tools, techniques, and best practices and help evangelize them across the organization\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelors' degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative field\n- 11+ years of BI + Data Science experience\n- Competency in data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)\n- Experience with statistical models (e.g., logistic regression. supervised learning approaches)\n- Expertise with online experimentation systems\n- Experience building data science, analytics and experimentation science capabilities and teams\nPreferred qualifications\n- Masters Degree in Data Science or related field\n- Experience designing and building large-scale online measurement systems\n- Excellent communications with non-technical executive audiences\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
