While this role does not ultimately own headcount allocation, you are empowered to audit, evaluate, and escalate risk to the functional leader when headcount allocation or misaligned feature management is a driver of risk to schedule or the overall technical vision. Your role is critical to managing the total timing, overall risks/issues and dependencies, and scope changes to partner/dependent teams as required.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Establishing a mechanism and cadence to manage the Amazon industrial robotic program\n- Managing escalations or misalignments when there are risks to delivering committed services with high quality; facilitating/leading tradeoff decisions with customers, stakeholders, and partner teams when there are conflicting priorities\n- Working with teams to determine whether a decision is a one-way or two-way door. Managing necessary discussions with customer and partner teams to manage expectations, impacts, and risks, associated with said decision(s)\n- Ensuring role clarity and escalating to functional leadership when there are misalignments that impact delivering on commitments\n- Developing and publishing a clear RACI to create transparency with customer teams and to drive ownership and accountability\n- Coordinating across internal teams to ensure alignment and enablement of delivering deployment services\n- Exercising strong technical judgement to influence and drive deployment methodology expertise to program level decisions\n- Ability to understand scalability requirements and determine feasibility of technology deployments at scale - acting as the voice back to - Product and Engineering teams to protect for those requirements on emerging technical products\nBasic qualifications\n- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience\n- 3+ years of software development experience\n- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience\n- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules\n- 3+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects\n- Experience working in Software or Hardware\nPreferred qualifications\n- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience\n- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules\n- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership\n- Experience working in Scaled Agile Frameworks across HW/SW teams\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
