This role offers the opportunity to solve complex greenfield problems, work with emerging Amazon businesses, and deliver durable solutions used across Amazon's global footprint.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate scalable distributed services for cross-border trade and regulatory compliance.\n- Translate ambiguous business and regulatory requirements into simple, maintainable technical solutions.\n- Own the architecture and delivery of major features, including effort estimation and rollout planning.\n- Build reliable, secure, and observable systems that meet performance and availability goals.\n- Collaborate with product managers, compliance specialists, UX designers, and engineers across Amazon.\n- Participate in code reviews, operational support, and continuous improvement.\n- Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and team development.\nA day in the life\nYou will work with product, compliance, and engineering partners to clarify customer needs, review designs, and build services that operate at Amazon scale. A typical day may include writing and reviewing code, resolving production issues, making architecture decisions, and planning delivery with your Scrum team. You will own the systems you build, use operational data to improve them, and help teammates grow through thoughtful design and code reviews.\nAbout the team\nAmazon Regulatory and Trade Services (ARTS) Tech builds systems that enable the secure, lawful, and efficient movement of products, software, and technology across international borders.
