We are seeking a technically skilled engineer who can influence across teams to help bring the products customers want into their hands, all around the globe.\nKey job responsibilities\n- Design, build, and operate customer-facing services end to end - from design document through launch, and through the operational life of the service afterward.\n- Design generative AI systems that coordinate several agents toward a goal, deciding what each agent owns, how work passes between them, where the loop terminates, and which parts of the problem stay in deterministic code.\n- Build the evaluation, guardrails, and observability that show a non-deterministic system is behaving correctly before a customer ever sees it.\n- Apply generative AI across your own development workflow - design, implementation, testing, code review, and operational triage, and bring the techniques that work back to the rest of the team.\n- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering teams elsewhere in Amazon to turn ambiguous customer problems into launched features.\nBasic qualifications\n- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience\n- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience\n- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience\n- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience\n- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience\n- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field\n- Experience programming with at least one software programming language\nPreferred qualifications\n- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience\n- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
