We are building a new device software team in Bangalore to power the next generation of Amazon connected devices. As an Embedded software Engineer on our new Bangalore device software team, you will bring up new hardware from first power-on, develop firmware for companion microcontrollers, and own the peripheral interfaces that connect our devices to the physical world. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with hardware engineers on schematic reviews and signal integrity, and debug hardware-software interactions at the bench with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Key job responsibilities Lead SoC/MCU board bring-up: power sequencing, clock configuration, peripheral initialization Develop and maintain firmware for companion MCUs (sensor fusion, audio processing, motor control) Implement and optimize peripheral drivers: SPI, I²C, UART, GPIO, ADC/DAC, PWM Collaborate with hardware engineers on schematic review, signal integrity, and design-for-testability Develop hardware abstraction layers (HAL) for cross-platform portability Support manufacturing test firmware and production programming flows Debug hardware-software interaction issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG A
