As a Software Development Manager in S3, you get to deliver these capabilities and delight our customers through teams of talented engineers and leaders.\nWe are currently looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the development of S3's Core API's. We build innovative software solutions to provide S3 customers secure, durable, high-available and performant storage with a low cost. In this role, you will drive the design and implementation of the API's that customers use to interact with their storage. You will define, plan and execute on deliverables that drive game changing performance and throughput improvements to S3's storage platform. You will partner with technical leaders and with other teams in S3 Storage to deliver these capabilities at S3 scale.\nUtility Computing (UC)\nAWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. You'll spend time in design reviews, 1:1s, and syncs with product and partner teams to align on priorities. Expect to balance hands-on technical discussions with coaching and career conversations. Some days you'll dig into operational issues or help shape long-term strategy. Beyond the day-to-day, you might lead hiring drives, drive org-wide initiatives, or mentor engineers outside your team.
