The mission of the Developer Transformation (DevTx) team is to help developers gain greater familiarity and confidence building modern, cloud-native applications that take full advantage of the latest AI-driven tools and AWS’s wide range of services. Through direct developer engagement, DevTx helps customers to address actual business problems and accelerated design, development and deployment of production quality cloud native application workloads.\nAs a DevTx Solution Architect (SA), you will help customers to innovate and transform their software development practices, applying modern patterns, the latest architectural best practices using the latest AI-native tools for developing and operating full-stack, cloud-native workloads. You will collaborate with customers and peers, develop content and enable the wider community to harness the power of AWS Cloud.\nIn this role, you will continuously sharpen and apply your expertise in programming languages, distributed systems, design patterns and the full software development life-cycle, to upskill developers and development teams on AWS cloud services, the third-party ecosystem and partner solutions.\nThe role is based in Sinapore however some international travel may be required\nKey job responsibilities\nKey responsibilities include:\nBe an active member of the AWS Solution Architecture team by engaging in on-to-one and one-to-many application architecture and development discussions and workshops with developers, software engineers, enterprise/solution architects and CTOs\nAccelerating adoption of AWS in the student, startup and professional developer communities by engaging through conferences, startup events, meetups, user groups and hackathons\nHelp lead the direction for AWS developer events to make them best-in-class from a developer’s perspective, representing AWS through speaking, doing live demos and interacting with attendees\nCreating technical content such as reference applications, starter kits and patterns and practical guidance that will get developers excited about the potential of AWS as a development platform\nContributing to a library of highly-reusable developer-focused artefacts such as demonstrations, sample code, blog posts, tutorials, and other modes of technical enablement\nProviding end-user feedback to AWS Product Management and Engineering teams based on the developer ‘voice of the customer‘. Participate in technical and design discussions with AWS technical teams to help speed customer adoption and ensure best practices during implementation If you are keen to help AWS customers adopt the latest methods, practices and tools in software development, while challenging the impossible, come build the future with us.\nBasic qualifications\n- 7+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience\n- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences\n- Experience working cross-functionally across several teams both technical and non-technical\n- 3+ years of professional software development experience, or Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields\n- Speak, write, and read fluently in Mandarin\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience with software development lifecycle, or experience operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets\n- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution, or experience with one or more of the following domains: systems administration (Linux/Window), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load Balancing), or programming (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP)\n- Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), database systems (SQL and NoSQL), AI tools for development productivity, contributing to open-source projects, and/or version control systems\n- Experience in customer-facing roles\n- AWS Certification (Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer)\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
