Amazon Pharmacy is bringing technology forward to serve customers in the best ways possible. As part of the Pharmacy Robotics group, you will play a key role in developing 1P Hardware and Robotic systems that deliver differentiated capabilities to our fulfillment channels.

- Conceive, design and develop innovative hardware and controls architectures for new products.
- Contribute to system design, including development of 3D models/assemblies, PLC systems, sensor selection and/or electrical schematics.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team that includes vendors, mechanical/software engineers to develop novel technology.
- Develop business case, application, and theory of operation for engineering systems and document for senior management.
- Drive product definition, development execution and testing. Identify and validate product risks and work with team to mitigate them.
- Specify testing to verify compliance with requirements. Interface with engineering managers, product management and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to commercialization.
- Engage with vendors and technology suppliers to evaluate and select technology applicable to program objectives.
- Be hands-on to bring online new product prototypes, conduct verification testing and performance validation.
- Provide up-to-date, accurate information to colleagues and management. Mentor and coach new engineers and interns.
- Support cost reduction and sustaining activities
Basic qualifications
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering discipline
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with the project management of technical projects

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
