As a member of the Emerging Countries Engineering team you will be responsible for designing complex material handling equipment solutions including sorters, vision guided systems and support infrastructure. You will be the single threaded leader of equipment implementation in multiple facilities, owning all steps from planning to implementation.\nThis position requires a background in material handling equipment (preferably in logistics), strong leadership, deep customer focus, strong autonomy and exceptional project management skills. It will involve regular communication with executors and project sponsors at both the country and worldwide level, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition.\nThis role will be based out of Mexico and involves regular travel within the country as well as occasional international travel. \nKey job responsibilities\nLead Automation initiatives (autosorters)\nSupport business case, design and deployment for automation\nSupport the preparation of specifications and technical detail to fully define the requirements on building environment, equipment, material, process and services;\nReview all technical documentation such as Buildings layouts, traffic plans, flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets to ensure that they meet requirements;\nActive involvement in cross functional infrastructure projects, provide technical input and conduct value engineering/ value analysis;\nWork independently or lead a project team that could comprise of project managers, project engineers and contractors.\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree\n- 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience\n- 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience\n- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment\n- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)\n- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English\nPreferred qualifications\n- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
