As an Sr. MLE on our team, you will design, build, and maintain systems for building frontier quality assets to train and evaluate our GenAI models. You’ll also work closely with our Applied Scientists to develop tools that support our modeling and evaluation team.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key tooling for building agentic pipelines to create frontier-level assets, such as RL gyms.
- Work closely with product teams, and scientists to create new techniques and tooling around emerging research capabilities and evaluating models to meet customer needs.
- Manage project prioritization, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- Illuminate trade-offs, educate the team on best practices, and influence technical strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Applied Scientists to investigate and plan experiments, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Operate in a dynamic environment to deliver high-quality software against tight schedules. About the team The FAI team has the mission to push the envelope in GenAI with LLMs, in order to provide the best-possible experience for our customers.
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred qualifications
- 8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
