Our QAEs develop and drive the team to implement effective test strategies to assess the quality of the system under test, at multiple levels including component, subsystem, system, and at workflow, and in multiple verticals including function, performance, scale security, and internationalization. Also s/he understands and affects the overall product delivery and operations chain with best quality practices such as pipeline health assessment, mirror testing. As a QAE on the team you will be a key voice in the design, coding, deployment, and post-deployment phases. You'll define and implement quality gates for code changes, ensuring our users' experience will be continually maintained or improved, while enhancing development efficiency/effectiveness with clearly delineated quality SLAs and timely presented data on confidence levels on quality.\nKey job responsibilities\nExperience with driving quality across an organization as a holistic plan and not just test execution\nStrong experience with QA methodologies and software testing techniques and tools, especially for web-based software products.\nDemonstrated experience in test strategy development, test planning, test designing, and test execution.\nAbility write, debug and troubleshoot code in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Javascript, or C#\nExperience testing distributed systems\nExperience using test cases management tools (like TCM or TestRail), issues management tools \nExperience working closely with development and business teams to present quality/test data, read business data, negotiate on the scope of test coverage/timing/resources, and to actively pull business requirements out of data/partners and distill them to test/risk strategy.\nGood oral and written communication skills\nExperience leading small teams of QAEs\nBasic qualifications\n- 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience\n- 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience\n- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role\n- Experience in automation testing\n- Experience in manual testing\nPreferred qualifications\n- 2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience\n- Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
