You will operate as a trusted partner to Product Managers, engineering leaders, and executives up to the VP and C-suite level.\nKey job responsibilities\nLead and grow a high-performing team. Build, develop, and retain a team of security engineers and managers; coach leaders, raise the performance bar, and drive continuous improvement toward a higher standard of security engineering excellence.\nOwn device security outcomes. Set the security strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of device products, and hold the team accountable to measurable customer-security outcomes.\nDrive cultural and organizational transformation. Lead change that elevates how the organization thinks about and delivers security - developing the next generation of leaders in the process.\nChampion the AI transformation. Bring energy and vision to how AI reshapes security engineering - from detection and automation to how the team works - and lead your organization through that change.\nMake data-driven decisions. Use metrics and evidence to prioritize, allocate, and defend investment; make the tradeoffs clear to stakeholders and executives.\nEstablish stakeholder mechanisms. Build durable mechanisms between your team and its internal and external customers - clear intake, prioritization, reporting, and feedback loops that scale.\nPartner with Product Management. Work closely with Product Managers, hold them to a high bar, and ensure security is designed in from the start rather than bolted on.\nOperate at the executive level. Communicate risk, strategy, and results credibly to VP and C-suite leaders, and influence decisions with backbone and customer obsession.\nBasic qualifications\n- 10+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations making security decisions experience\n- 10+ years of team management and building (including coaching and mentoring) experience\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field\n- Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience\n- Experience triaging security risks or vulnerabilities and ensuring that they are properly understood by the business and fixed or mitigated\n- Experience in risk assessment and enabling organizations to make security decisions\n- Experience in team management and building (including coaching and mentoring)\nPreferred qualifications\n- Knowledge of information security risk-based prioritization\n- Knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques\n- Experience managing remote team members\nAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.\nOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
