This is a hands-on technical leadership role where your architectural decisions directly impact Amazon's global marketplace operations.\nKey job responsibilities\nDesign and implement globally distributed systems with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance\nDrive cross-regional data consistency, caching strategies, and distributed transaction management\nBuild and own high-availability services that handle complex state management across multiple regions\nLead technical initiatives end-to-end, from architecture through delivery\nMentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical direction and solve ambiguous problems\nEstablish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for large-scale systems\nBasic qualifications\n- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent\n- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience\n- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience\n- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience\n- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team\nPreferred qualifications\n- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience\n-\nExperience with security protocols and identity management systems -\nExperience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns -\nExperience building systems that operate across multiple geographic regions Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
