Sr. Technical Program Manager, AFT External Fulfillment

A Technical Program Manager (TPM) will partner with engineers, other TPMs, Product Managers and senior management to help create world-class solutions. We're looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while they make history. The ideal TPM is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities and an expeditious drive to deliver results. This opportunity requires deep technical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

Engineering execution - drive crisp and timely execution based on customer impact and business opportunity

Priority management - manage diverse requests and dependencies from world-wide teams

Process improvements - define, implement and continuously improve delivery and operational efficiency

Stakeholder management - interface with and influence your stakeholders, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints and driving clarity in ambiguous situations

Operational Excellence - monitor metrics and program health, anticipate and clear blockers, manage escalations

About the team

We are a fast-paced and focused team of passionate Amazonians building Fulfillment solutions used externally. We are standing up fulfillment stack that will scale beyond Amazon sites globally. Our team is part of AFT, and works closely with Amazon Operations, 3rd Party Technical teams following a collaborative engagement model with joint workshops, and dedicated SME support.

The team values high ownership, bias for action, and insists on the highest standards while following a build-fast-and-iterate-fast methodology. We believe in speed through autonomy and safety through guardrails.

This team is suitable for passionate engineers who are equally interested in contributing to architecture and product strategy while building high-performing, scalable systems that directly impact Amazon internal and external operations and Amazon's growth.

Basic qualifications

- Experience in technical product or program management

- Experience working directly with engineering teams

- Experience in software development

- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams

- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
