This role will be 4/10 hour days on FHN shift and work Sun-Wed from 5p-3:30a\nKey job responsibilities\n- Hire, develop and supervise leads and a group of highly skilled technicians focused on Kuiper satellite production. Includes annual reviews, career development and managing corrective and disciplinary actions.\n- Coordinate with other Kuiper leaders and manufacturing engineers to plan and coordinate daily tasks for technicians and activities of all operations with an ability to adapt to changing schedules and other dynamic priorities.\n- Establish on-the-job training programs and standardized opportunities for team members to learn new skills and progress in their career.\n- Independently manage Technicians that perform test of the Kuiper satellite complex sub-assemblies in a clean-room and ESD controlled environment.\n- Inspect and verify your team’s work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met.\n- Author, maintain, and train others to all relevant process documentation, including Assembly, Inspection, Testing/In-Process Characterization, and Shipping Procedures.\n- Collaborate with manufacturing, design, operations and test engineers to develop, document and complete activities, including continuous improvement opportunities\n- Provide frequent feedback and technical reviews on designs, processes, tools and custom equipment used in production environments.\n- Improve and enforce area safety and reporting mechanisms through regular auditing and safety-related projects.\nA day in the life\n-Enter and track critical performance and quality data\n-Support and organize development testing that utilizes SSL equipment\n-Organize and present information to leadership in response to inter-departmental issues\n-Each day looks different in the testing lab, create a plan daily that optimizes staff to where the labor needs to be allocated based on the current status of test equipment. \nAbout the team\nThis is a uniquely hands-on, high-impact production environment. You'll work alongside a cross-functional group of engineers and technicians solving complex thermal, structural, and systems-level challenges at production scale - not just one-off prototypes.
