This role sits within the Supply Chain Long Term Planning team and is responsible for shaping upstream topology across IXD (Inbound Cross Dock), SDC (Storage and Distribution Centers), and other inbound network initiatives.\nYou will own the strategic direction and end-to-end program management of initiatives that improve cost, speed, and scalability across the inbound network. This role requires strong ownership, deep analytical capability, and the ability to influence without authority across a broad set of stakeholders including Stores and Finance.\nKey job responsibilities\nInbound Topology Strategy\nDefine and evolve long-term inbound network strategy across IXD, SDC, and emerging upstream models\nEvaluate trade-offs across inventory placement, transportation cost, and lead time\nTranslate business growth plans into scalable, efficient inbound network designs\nProgram Ownership & Execution\nOwn end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from concept through launch and stabilization\nBuild and manage multi-year roadmaps, including milestones, risks, and dependencies\nDrive alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Stores, Finance, Tech, and partner teams\nAnalytical & Commercial Leadership\nUse data to identify opportunities, validate strategies, and drive decision-making\nPartner closely with Stores stakeholders and Finance teams to develop robust business cases, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation\nBalance customer experience, cost-to-serve, and inventory efficiency in all recommendations\nEstablish metrics and mechanisms to measure network performance and program success\nStakeholder Influence\nInfluence senior stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authority\nLead decision-making in ambiguous situations with competing priorities\nCommunicate clearly through written narratives and executive-level reviews\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement\nChallenge existing inbound paradigms and identify step-change improvements\nPilot and scale new inbound capabilities and operating models\nBuild repeatable frameworks and tools for long-term network planning\nBasic qualifications\n- 5+ years of program or project management experience\n- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements\n- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership\n- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment\n- Experience working cross functionally with non-tech teams\nPreferred qualifications\n- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience\n- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field\nAcknowledgement of country:\nIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
