We believe in storytelling and thinking holistically to craft the \"why\" behind everything we ship. The design organization plays a critical role in accelerating collaboration between designers, engineers, researchers, and product managers across products like FireTV, Echo Family Devices, Fire Tablets, and the Alexa mobile app.\nBasic qualifications\n- Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer\n- Have an available online portfolio\n- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps\n- Experience designing software applications, tools, or web-based products\n- Understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate with engineering teams\n- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)\nPreferred qualifications\n- Experience in mass-market consumer web / mobile products\n- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs\n- Experience and understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) to help inform design and interaction decisions\n- Experience designing developer-facing products, technical tools, or B2B applications\n- Technical background or familiarity with software development concepts and testing processes\n- Understanding of app submission, review, and certification workflows (iOS App Store, Google Play, or similar platforms)\n- Experience with voice interfaces, conversational design, or IoT device ecosystems\n- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices\n- Experience with AI tools (vibe coding, Figma plugins, automation)\nAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
